TDC Hardware · Bulk supply & OEM projects
Source tee hinges for surface-mounted doors and gates, from light utility patterns to long-strap heavy-duty and decorative designs. The T-shaped layout combines an extended door leaf with a shorter frame leaf, spreading the fixing points across the door surface.
Compare TDC hinge styles, nominal sizes and leaf thicknesses, then send your application or drawing for a model-specific quotation. We support hardware distributors, door manufacturers and contractors with standard product selection and custom hinge projects.

Find the right pattern
Start with the door construction and mounting space, then compare the hinge pattern. A longer strap, thicker leaf or decorative end changes the specification; the appearance alone does not establish a load rating.
Light and medium T hinges for utility hardware ranges, with several nominal lengths and mounting-plate layouts. Check the drawing when matching an existing hole pattern.
Compare American heavy-duty, heavy-duty and long-tail designs. TH017 offers 12, 16, 20 and 24 inch nominal sizes with a listed 4.0 mm leaf thickness.
Lacework, fancy, pointed, arc-edge and round-head styles help coordinate visible hardware on rustic doors and furniture. TH024 also lists matching decorative hardware components.
Square, bent, horseshoe and stamped patterns provide additional shapes to compare when a conventional straight T hinge does not match the mounting surface.
These series are listed in left- and right-hand versions. Specify the required handing and removal arrangement when submitting your drawing or sample.
TH010 is listed as an 8 inch × 3.0 mm spring-equipped pattern. Ask TDC to review the closing function and installation requirements for your intended door.
Size comparison
Use this selection of TDC series to narrow your enquiry. Inch sizes are nominal catalogue labels; use the model drawing for the actual leaf dimensions, hole centres and installation clearances.

For a working-load recommendation, provide the door or gate weight, width, height, frame material, fixing method and exposure conditions. TDC can review the model and test requirements with you before the specification is approved.
Application planning
Tee hinges are a practical surface-mounted option when the door face has room for an extended leaf. Match the pattern to the structure behind the fixing points.
Before you specify
During installation, support the panel, align the hinge axes and secure the leaves to sound structural material with suitable fixings. Check clearance and free movement before putting the door into service.
A typical tee hinge pairs a long door leaf with a shorter crosswise frame leaf. A traditional strap hinge uses elongated leaves on both sides of the hinge axis. Both names cover a range of patterns, so compare the drawing and rated application rather than assuming one shape is always stronger.
Compare TDC strap hinge designs or read the tee hinge and strap hinge comparison.
Specify the environment
Choose the base material and surface treatment together. TDC's custom hinge service lists options including matte black, zinc plating and stainless steel. Availability, coating process and material grade should be confirmed for the selected T hinge series.
A dark finish can coordinate visible gate and rustic-door hardware. Specify the required coating process, appearance and exposure conditions, then approve a finish sample.
Ask about zinc-plated options for the selected model. Agree the coating specification and corrosion-test requirement; the finish name alone does not define outdoor service life.
For damp or corrosive locations, discuss a suitable stainless steel grade and compatible fasteners. Confirm model availability and relevant test evidence for the intended environment.
For coastal exposure or a specified salt-spray requirement, include the location, test method and acceptance criteria in the enquiry. Review custom hinge material and finish options with TDC before final approval.
Manufacturing & project support
TDC's manufacturing history began in Pinghu in 1986. Its production capabilities include stamping, polishing, plating and assembly. For distributors and door manufacturers, that provides a starting point for coordinating hinge design and production with one supplier.
For an OEM or ODM enquiry, share a drawing, sample or functional requirement. TDC's custom hinge process covers design collaboration, material and finish selection, prototyping and branding options.

Common sourcing questions
T hinges, also called tee hinges, are surface-mounted hinges used on gates, shed doors, swinging barn-style doors and rustic furniture. The long leaf fixes across the door face, while the shorter leaf attaches to the frame or post. Select the model for the panel and installation conditions.
Start with the door or gate width, height, weight and fixing structure. Compare the hinge drawing, leaf thickness and hole layout, then confirm the number of hinges and the performance requirement. A nominal inch size alone is not enough to select a safe working load.
Capacity depends on the exact model, material, panel dimensions, hinge count and fixings. There is no single load rating for the whole T hinge range. Send the application details to TDC and request model-specific confirmation or test evidence.
They can be specified for outdoor applications when the base material, protective finish and fasteners suit the exposure. Confirm the coating or stainless steel grade for the selected model, especially in coastal or corrosive locations.
Handing depends on the design. TDC lists TH023 and TH025 detachable pointed series in left- and right-hand versions. Confirm the handing and removal direction for the chosen model before ordering.
TDC offers OEM/ODM design collaboration, prototyping and branding options. Provide the hinge drawing or sample, application, material and finish requirements, quantity and packaging needs so the team can review feasibility and quotation details.
Plan your next order
Send a model reference or drawing with your door dimensions, estimated weight, installation location, material or finish preference, order quantity and destination. Include packaging and branding requirements for an OEM order.
